Service Description

These sailing adventures provides the opportunity to experience a coastal/island hopping passage, gain sea miles and develop cruising skills with the option to complete an RYA Competent Crew, Day Skipper or Coastal Skipper along the way.

Safety is of the utmost importance and the route for each of these mile builders will be guided by the weather.

Sydney to Hobart

This journey is for the more experienced sailor (from Day Skipper onwards) and will combine stopovers along the southern NSW coast including Jervis Bay, Bermagui, Eden; cross the notorious Bass Strait to Deal Island, Flinders Island and then a leisurely sail along the East Coast of Tasmania with possible stop overs: the Bay of Fires, Wineglass Bay, Schouten Passage, Maria Island, Port Arthur and on to Hobart.

Hobart Mile Builder

Tasmanian waters provide exquisite sailing grounds with many protected anchorages creating many opportunities for the cruising sailor.  The mile builders depart from and return to Hobart. There are three options for this mile builder depending on the weather.  These include sailing either the East or West Coast and if the weather is really bad, exploring the protected waters of the D’Entrecastaux Channel and Storm Bay. All routes offer wilderness, beauty, wildlife and exquisite anchorages.

Brisbane to Yeppoon

Departing from Manly Boat Harbour this sail will plan to include an overnight passage from Moreton Bay to Lady Musgrave Island.  Depending on the weather, the alternative is to go over the Wide Bay Bar and traverse the Great Sandy Straits, Hervey Bay before going on to Lady Musgrave Island, Pancake Creek, Great Keppel Island and into Keppel Bay Marina, Yeppoon.

Yeppoon to Mackay

With the SE trades well and truly set in, we will sail from Yeppoon to Mackay with possible stopovers at Great Keppel Island, Port Clinton, Pearl Bay, the iconic Middle Percy Island, Scawfell and Brampton Island before arriving at Mackay.

Mackay to Airlie Beach

This mile builder allow you to sail and explore the many picturesque islands from the southernmost to the northernmost Whitsunday Islands.  There are a multitude of protected anchorages, walking tracks, snorkelling opportunities and pristine beaches to explore.

This mile builders is suitable for those new to sailing and coastal passages.  The islands  and the Great Barrier Reef offer protection from the ocean swell.   The sail will be broken into day hops from island to island.
